Sorry I'm late with the news roundup, but the man I am going to say something has slowly built his successful acting career. Therefore, there is no need to hurry.
The actor who has since established himself in Hollywood by acquiring lead roles in the films The Visitor and The Cabin in the Woods has reportedly signed on for a role in
A.C.O.D., which stands for Adult Children Of Divorce. Yes, he is none other than
Richard Dale Jenkins.
He will re-team with
Adam Scott (Step Brothers) in the Stuart Zicherman-directed flick, which centers on a 30something guy ( Scott) caught in the crosshairs of his parents' bitter divorce for the past 20 years.
Matters become even worse when his younger brother gets engaged, initiating a reunion between the bitter parents and the parental feud blooms anew, with the details revealed in a definitive book on children of divorce.
Jenkins will play the father,
whose uncompromising lifestyle and vehement distaste for his ex-wife threatens to destroy the wedding.
Ben Karlin (50/50) wrote the script and TV veteran
Stuart Zichermanis directing his debut feature.
Shooting is set to begin in March, so we expect new casting and details to be announced at some point and we'll keep you updated.
Watch the scene from above mentioned Step Brothers that has been parodied many times.
