Dream House Starring Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz, Naomi Watts Delayed

Fiona December 29, 2011 1 comment
The release of Universal's upcoming supernatural thriller directed by Jim Sheridan, Dream House which stars Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz and Naomi Watts, has been delayed.

Daniel Craig on the set of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

Instead of February 18, 2011 the film will be released later in 2011. The producers require additional footage to complete the movie, but that lead actor Daniel Craig isn't available for filming until December. Craig is busy shooting David Fincher's The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and won't have a break in filming until the first two weeks of December. The additional footage will include all the film's cast members, including Rachel Weisz and Naomi Watts in Toronto, where Dream House was shot earlier this year. Check out Dream House synopsis: “The film tells the story of a successful publisher (Daniel Craig) who quits a job in New York City to relocate his wife (Rachel Weisz) and two daughters to a quaint New England town. But as they settle into their new life, they discover their perfect home was the murder scene of a mother and her two children. And the entire city believes it was at the hands of the husband who survived. When Will investigates the tragedy, his only lead comes from a neighbor (Naomi Watts) who was close to the family that died. As Will and Ann piece together the disturbing puzzle, they discover that the story of the last man to leave Will's dream house will be just as horrifying to the one who came next.” The screenplay was written by David Loucka. The movie, as we already said, is directed by six-time Academy Award nominee Jim Sheridan (My Left Foot, In the Name of the Father). Dream House is produced by Morgan Creek's James G. Robinson along with David Robinson and Daniel Bobker & Ehren Krueger with executive producer Mike Drake.

What have made you assume this film stars in the order of Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz and Naomi Watts? and not Watts before Weisz, both role-wise and alphabetically?

Enough slight of Watts already, please.
