The Like Crazy actress Felicity Jones will join the dark side of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 movie as the girlfriend of Harry Osborne aka Green Goblin, set to be played by Dane DeHaan.
Jones (rumored for the role of Black Cat), while speaking with View London about her role in Drake Doremus' film Breathe In, dropped a little morsel for all of us to chew on:
It's all quite shrouded in secrecy, but I'm the Goblin's girlfriend — I'm in a relationship with him, and his accomplice. I'm on the dark side.
She then added that she couldn't say the character's name, but the folks over at IndieWire suspect that she's taking the role of Lily Hollister/Menace.
After accidentally knocking over some experimental Goblin chemicals, the daughter of District Attorney William Hollister, Socialite Lily Hollister absorbed them into her skin, and was now able to transform into her ‘Menace' form at will.
Since Green Goblin has not been confirmed yet, judging by Jones' comments we'll be seeing him dressed in green very soon.
However, we could still be wrong.
The Spidey sequel will probably make a big splash at Comic-Con in the coming days, but many of the rest of us will get to see it when it hits theaters on May 2nd, 2014.
The film also stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Shailene Woodley, Paul Giamatti, Chris Cooper, and Sally Field.
