The Hobbit Production Video 5 – Behind the Scenes
Fifth THE HOBBIT Production Video
Another beautiful Christmas gift: new 12-minute video blog about the adventures of Peter Jackson. The two Hobbit movies are still shooting in New Zealand, working towards a December 14, 2012 release date for An Unexpected Journey, the first in a two part film.
The production has moved to Ohakune on the north island of New Zealand.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey follows the journey of title character Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman), who is swept into an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor, which was long ago conquered by the fearsome dragon Smaug.
Approached out of the blue by the wizard Gandalf the Grey (Ian McKellen), Bilbo finds himself joining a company of thirteen dwarves led by the legendary warrior, Thorin Oakensheild (Richard Armitage). Their journey will take them into the Wild; through treacherous lands swarming with Goblins and Orcs, deadly Wargs and Giant Spiders, Shapeshifters and Sorcerers.
This video is about ‘the logistics of location shooting' and follows their journey from shooting in a studio to shooting on location. We get to see Elijah Wood, Martin Freeman and the team filming scenes at the Hobbiton (Matamata) set.
