First GOATS Trailer Starring Vera Farmiga and David Duchovny
What does it look like to be a 15 year-old boy, and to be the most adult member of an eccentric family at the same time? I have no idea, but I know who can give us all an answer to that tricky question.
Meet Ellis, the leading star of Christopher Neil's upcoming movie Goats, who will help us understand this honest portrayal of life with its rough edges, awkward moments, and non-endings.
So, as you already see, we have the first trailer for the movie which is set to open next month. As I previously said, this is not the story that I'm actually excited about, although there is some interesting cast on board which includes Vera Farmiga, David Duchovny, Ty Burrell and young Graham Phillips.
Based on Mark Jude Poirier's best-selling novel, Goats centers on Ellis who lives with his mother and Goat Man – the goat-herding sage who has lived in their pool house since Ellis was a child, teaching him the meaning of stability, commitment, and expanding one's mind.
One day, Ellis decides to leave Tucson to go to the same East Coast prep school that his father (who left him years ago) went to. He easily assimilates to his new environment, but as he re‐connects with his estranged father, he finds Goat Man's influence and his life out West thrown into stark contrast.
The rest of the cast also includes Keri Russell, Justin Kirk and Dakota Johnson, and the movie is set to hit the theaters on August 10th, 2012.
