Andre Benjamin aka Outkast rapper Andre 3000 was seen filming scenes for the long-gestating Jimi Hendrix movie in Dublin, Ireland. Andre 3000 (formerly known as Dre) was snapped looking colourful in full costume on the set, with a full afro hair and some stylish vintage threads.
Captain America actress Hayley Atwell was also spotted in the Irish capital filming a new movie entitled All Is By My Side – she plays Linda Keith, the woman who discovered the music legend.
The sophomore directorial effort from screenwriter John Ridley is unlikely to actually feature any of Hendrix's music however, after the Hendrix Estate refused to endorse the film. Therefore, ‘the film will detail Hendrix growing up in Seattle, joining the Army, playing in back-up bands throughout the South and with the Isley Brothers and Little Richard among the others.'
Reports also say the film traces Hendrix's life in England in 1966-67, when he recorded his classic debut album, Are You Experienced.
However, set to star alongside Andre 3000 and Hayley Atwell is Imogen Poots (Fright Night).
