Ok, this is something that
sounded interesting, and it goes like this:
“
Andrew O'Hagan, author of novel “
The Life And Opinions Of Maf The Dog, And Of His Friend Marilyn Monroe” reportedly confirmed that
Angelina Jolie will be playing the role of the Hollywood icon in a movie adaptation of his book.
George Clooney will play the role of
Frank Sinatra in the new film and that production is due to start shortly.”
But now, according to some reports this will not happen. Guys from
THR are reporting that “reps for both Jolie and Clooney have flatly denied O'Hagan's statements”.
Anyway, O'Hagan's book tells the story of the ‘Some Like It Hot' actress two years prior to her death in 1962 from the perspective of her dog Maf, given to her as a gift from Sinatra.
“Maf the dog was with Marilyn for the last two years of her life. Not only a picaresque hero himself, he was also a scholar of the adventuring rogue in literature and art, witnessing the rise of America's new liberalism, civil rights, the space race, the New York critics, and was Marilyn Monroe's constant companion.”
Interesting, or not, decide for yourself.
