Horizons or Oblivion – well, it really doesn't matter, I'm sure you already know what we're talking about.
Joseph Kosinski's upcoming sci-fi pic is definitely worth our full attention, and not just because we have Tom Cruise on board.
Now we have three great actresses in the running to star in one of two lead female roles opposite Cruise in the whole thing. And, we're talking about Kate Beckinsale, Diane Kruger and Hayley Atwell!
So, at this moment we know that Oblivion story is set in a future where the Earth's surface has been irradiated beyond recognition and the remnants of humanity live above the clouds, safe from the brutal alien Scavengers that stalk the ruins.
But when surface drone repairman Jak (Cruise) discovers a mysterious woman in a crash-landed pod, it sets off an unstoppable chain of events that will force him to question everything he knows.
We previously reported that Jessica Chastain is already on board to play Cruise's wife, and, as for the above mentioned contention, let us just add that the lucky winner will take on the part of the mystery woman who arrives on the uninhabited planet.
Oblivion will hit the theaters on July 19, and production on the whole thing is expected to begin in early 2012.
