Helen Hunt in ‘Then She Found Me’

A New York schoolteacher (Helen Hunt) hits a midlife crisis when, in quick succession, her husband leaves, her adoptive mother dies and her real one, an eccentric talk show host, materializes and turns her life upside down. Her life becomes more and more complicated when she separated from her husband and met the father from one of her students, with whom she falls in love with. ‘Then She Found Me‘, which marked the directorial debut of Hunt, based on a novel by Elinor Lipman, has gotten rave reviews when it opened the Palm Springs International Film Festival on January 3. Featuring also Colin Firth, Bette Midler and Matthew Broderick, the ThinkFilm's movie will be released in limited theaters on April 25.
