We've been waiting a long time now for those two
Independence Day 2 and 3 – 16 years to be precise (has THAT much time passed already??) – but, it seems we may have finally got the titles of these films:
ID Forever Part One and
ID Forever Part Two.
These titles are in no way official, in spite that they were name-dropped some years ago by co-writer-producer,
Dean Devlin. The term ‘ID Forever' is thought to be some kind of in-movie slogan representing the human resistance.
Director
Roland Emmerich also revealed that they plan to release the films in 3D. However, they'll both still be shot in 2D and just converted later, in post-production (crap! Why would anyone do that?).
This is all, of course, under the presumption that these movies get made at all. While Emmerich and Devlin are definitely working hard on the project, they're also facing an almost inevitable ‘tough battle' with the studios, and of course, they'll need the right people to sign on if they hope to get the sequels made.
Are you one of the people waiting for those? Sound off your opinions about the sequels in the comments!
