Written and directed by Joel and Ethan Coen, the film tells the story of an aspiring singer-songwriter who navigates the 1960s folk-music scene in New York City's Greenwich Village.
Guitar in tow, huddled against the unforgiving New York winter, he is struggling to make it as a musician against seemingly insurmountable obstacles – some of them of his own making.Beside the above mentioned names, the movie also stars John Goodman, Garrett Hedlund and F. Murray Abraham, while Grammy-winner T Bone Burnett produced the film's soundtrack which includes music performed by Isaac, Timberlake and Marcus Mumford (among others). In case you forgot, Inside Llewyn Davis won the Grand Prix Award at this year's Cannes Film Festival, and is set to hit theaters on December 6th, 2013.
