Legendary action star Jackie Chan has spoke to a press conference in Kuala Lumpur to promote his latest action blockbuster Chinese Zodiac, aka CZ12 where he revealed he would be boarding The Expendables 3.
Sylvester Stallone has been chasing Chan since The Expendables 2 that he almost made it into the last film:
Sly had invited me to be in Expendables 2 but I was too busy filming CZ12 and couldn't make a commitment to the film. But he did extend his invitation to the third movie, which I agreed on the condition that I will be appearing as more than just a minor role with a few scenes.
Chan also stated the possibility of making The Expendables 3 as a ‘buddy-buddy movie' – like a buddy movie, but with even more friendship. Chan said that Stallone seemed open to the idea.
Furthermore, Chan revealed he also hopes to team up with his Rush Hour co-star Chris Tucker soon. The script they are currently working with is for a movie with the title Skip Tracer, but the actor said it could end up being Rush Hour 4:
The script is currently viewed by Chris Tucker. Personally, I feel that if he were to pick it up, it would be better if we turned it into “Rush Hour 4″ but I do think that three movies for the franchise is a perfect ending. It would be better to start a new buddy movie with someone new.
Apparently, Chan is having difficulty pulling away from the genre.
