The Great Gatsby follows Fitzgerald-like, would-be writer Nick Carraway as he leaves the Midwest and comes to New York City in the spring of 1922, an era of loosening morals, glittering jazz and bootleg kings. Chasing his own American Dream, Nick lands next door to a mysterious, party-giving millionaire, Jay Gatsby, and across the bay from his cousin, Daisy, and her philandering, blue-blooded husband, Tom Buchanan. It is thus that Nick is drawn into the captivating world of the super rich, their illusions, loves and deceits. As Nick bears witness, within and without the world he inhabits, he pens a tale of impossible love, incorruptible dreams and high-octane tragedy, and holds a mirror to our own modern times and struggles.Click on the poster to take a better look at Fisher, and feel free to let us know what you think about this movie so far! THE GREAT GATSBY Reveals New Poster With Isla Fisher!
Here's another completely new poster for Baz Luhrmann‘s upcoming drama The Great Gatsby, which is set to open this spring. This time – all eyes on lovely redhead Isla Fisher who stars as Myrtle Wilson aka Tom Buchanan's mistress in the whole thing. There was an immediately perceptible vitality about her, as if the nerves of her body were continually smouldering, indeed…
Anyway, a few words about the whole thing! First of all I will remind you that the movie is actually an adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald‘s 1925 novel of the same name, and Baz Luhrmann directs it from a script which he co-wrote with Craig Pearce.
The Great Gatsby has an awesome cast on board which, beside the above mentioned Isla Fisher, also stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Joel Edgerton, Carey Mulligan, Jason Clarke, Elizabeth Debicki, Amitabh Bachchan and Warner Bros. Pictures will release the movie on May 10th, 2013.
