In the newly released international poster for Disney's John Carter actor Taylor Kitsch (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) is at the front and center below his character's famous name. John Carter written by Stanton and Michael Chabon and based on the first novel in Edgar Rice Burroughs' 11-volume Barsoom series tells the story of the journey of Civil-War veteran John Carter (Kitsch), who is mysteriously transported to Mars and found himself battling a new and mysterious war amidst a host of strange Martian inhabitants, including Tars Tarkas (Willem Dafoe) and the captivating Princess Dejah Thoris (Lynn Collins).
