John Michael McDonagh‘s next project is Calvary and I guess you all know that Brendan Gleeson is already on board to star as the lead.
But here comes another really good news! Chris O'Dowd, Kelly Reilly, Aidan Gillen, Isaach De Bankolé and David Wilmot will all join the above mentioned Gleeson!
And that, you must admit, sounds awesome. Especially because we're talking about the project which is already being described as a dark comedy that follows good priest Father James Lavelle, played by Gleeson, who is tormented by various members of his parish.
Calvary' is developed by McDonagh's Reprisal Films which he runs with Chris Clark, Flora Fernandez-Marengo and Elizabeth Eves, who are all the producing team behind McDonagh's latest The Guard.
As for Calvary, it is scheduled to shoot on location in Ireland this September, and as usual, we'll keep an eye on their work, so make sure you stay tuned!
