LEE DANIELS' THE BUTLER Poster
THE BUTLER It's all about Forest Whitaker and Oprah Winfrey in the first TV spot for The Butler (actually, the new title is Lee Daniels' The Butler) which is set to hit theaters next month. As you're about to see: they want us to know that this historical drama is the story of an ordinary man, but hey, just in case you forgot – even the quiet voice can ignite a revolution! Head inside to check them out! [jwplayer mediaid=”164611″] As we previously reported, Daniels directed the whole thing from a script written by Danny Strong, which centers on African-American butler Eugene Allen, who worked in the White House during eight presidencies throughout the civil rights era. In case you've missed the official trailer and the very first clip from the movie, now is your perfect chance to check it out, and I will once again remind you that:
The Butler traces the dramatic changes that swept American society during this time, from the civil rights movement to Vietnam and beyond, and how those changes affected this man's life and family.
Beside the above mentioned duo, Lee Daniels' The Butler cast also includes Mariah Carey, John Cusack, Jane Fonda, Cuba Gooding, Jr., Terrence Howard, Minka Kelly, Lenny Kravitz, Melissa Leo, James Marsden, David Oyelowo, Alex Pettyfer, Vanessa Redgrave, Alan Rickman, Liev Schreiber and Robin Williams, and the movie is set to hit theaters on August 16th, 2013. Let us know what you think & stay tuned for more updates! LEE DANIELS' THE BUTLER Poster
