Matthew Vaughn to Adapt Two Mark Millar’s Comics?
When you have such a successful project like X-Men: First Class, then it's just not ok for you to stop thinking about your future projects, right?
So we have no reason to blame Matthew Vaughn for this news – apparently, he's now looking to direct another comic book property from Mark Millar. Or, are we talking about two new projects?
Confused yet? Ok, here's the thing. We learned that Vaughn is now interested in two different comic book properties both from writer Mark Millar.
You all know they make such a good team, after all Millar is the creator of Kick-Ass which Vaughn adapted for the big screen. But, let's get back to those projects.
The first one is Superior, illustrated by Leinil Francis Yu and published by Marvel's Icon imprint.
The other one is The Secret Service which was unveiled this week by Vaughn, Millar, and artist Dave Gibbons.
Written by Millar and illustrated by Dave Gibbons that one will be released in February of 2012 and is based on an idea by both talents alongside Vaughn himself.
Unfortunately, The Secret Service remains secret at this moment, but still, we have an official description of Superior, so check it out:
“Ollie Janson had it all going for him: plenty of friends at school, good looks, and his coach called him one of the most talented basketball players he's ever seen. But that was when he could still move his legs.
Now he's living with multiple sclerosis, missing all the little things he used to take for granted, and escaping into the world of movies and comics with his best friend. Then… Superior entered his life.”
So, any thoughts about this?
