Mel Gibson’s Edge of Darkness Trailer and Poster

Allan Ford March 14, 2012 2 comments
Edge Of Darkness We have added the first trailer for director Martin Campbell‘s upcoming thriller, “Edge of Darkness“. In “Edge of Darkness” Mel Gibson plays Thomas Craven a veteran homicide detective for the Boston Police Department and a single father. When his only child, 24-year-old Emma, is murdered on the steps of his home, everyone assumes that he was the target. But he soon suspects otherwise, and embarks on a mission to find out about his daughter's secret life and her killing. His investigation leads him into a dangerous looking-glass world of corporate cover-ups, government collusion and murder — and to shadowy government operative Darius Jedburgh who has been sent in to clean up the evidence. Craven's solitary search for answers about his daughter's death transforms into an odyssey of emotional discovery and redemption. Director Martin Campbell (Golden Eye, Casino Royale, The Legend of Zorro) led the production from a story by William Monahan and Andrew Bovell. “Edge of Darkness” will hit theaters January 29, 2010.

a lousy remake of the great 6-part series of BBC with the same title. Why does Hollywood have to copy British films, whose quality in acting and story they never can equal. Typically enough the only good acting in this Hollywood version is be the British actor Ray Winston. The story has been altered into a run off the mill festival of violence, contrary of the BBC version, in which the end is moving and very original. Bob Peck is an actor world better than Mel Gibson. Trash.

A good sequel to this could be made out of the surviving police officer at the end (who happens to be the nephew of the CIA’s CEO) trying to explain and be believed for all the dead operatives under his watch… “Well a bullet from your gun was found in one of them?”
