You already know what that action thriller Snitch is about, right? The official poster for the movie says it all – how far would you go to save your son? Never mind, the most important thing is that Ric Roman Waugh‘s movie is set to open next month, it has a pretty cool cast on board, and today – we're here to take another look at Dwayne Johnson, Susan Sarandon and Benjamin Bratt, so make sure you check them out!
Let us once again remind you that Ric Roman Waugh directs this movie from a script he co-wrote with Justin Haythe, and the whole thing is actually inspired by true events. As you already had a chance to see from the first trailer, the film centers on a teenage boy who is wrongfully arrested for distributing drugs and sentenced to prison for a decade.
His father then makes a deal with the United States Attorney to become an undercover informant and infiltrate a drug cartel, risking his family and his life.
Beside Dwayne Johnson who plays that desperate father, Snitch also stars Susan Sarandon, Benjamin Bratt, Barry Pepper, Jon Bernthal, Michael Kenneth Williams and Melina Kanakaredes, and as we said – the movie is set to open on February 22nd, 2013.
Snitch centers on a father whose teenage son is wrongly accused of a drug distribution crime and is looking at a mandatory minimum prison sentence of 10 years. Desperate and determined to rescue his son at all costs, he makes a deal with the U.S. Attorney to work as an undercover informant and infiltrate a drug cartel on a dangerous mission- risking everything, including his family and his own life.
