Morgan Freeman might be starring alongside Bruce Willis in Summit Entertainment's espionage thriller “Red.” The film is based on the WildStorm/DC Comic written by Warren Ellis and illustrated by Cully Hamner.
It was a three-issue miniseries that was published in 2003 and 2004. It centers on a former black-ops CIA agent who is now living a quiet life in retirement. Things change when a high-tech assassin appears on the scene with every intention of killing him. With his secret identity compromised and his love interest in danger, the man must reassemble his old team to figure out who is out to get them.
The screenplay was written by brothers Erich and Jon Hoeber, who also adapted “Whiteout.” Lorenzo di Bonaventura is producing this film but no director has been announced yet.Morgan Freeman To Star In RED
