For those who may have missed our earlier reports, the movie revolves around an elegant New York socialite Jasmine who, after everything in her life falls to pieces (including her marriage to wealthy businessman Hal) moves into her sister Ginger's modest apartment in San Francisco to try to pull herself back together again.
Beside the above mentioned duo, the rest of Blue Jasmine cast includes Louis C.K., Bobby Cannavale, Andrew Dice Clay, Sally Hawkins, Peter Sarsgaard and Michael Stuhlbarg.
The movie was released on July 26th, 2013 in New York and Los Angeles, and distributor Sony Pictures Classics reported a $29,332 average as a result, which is even better than the first day gross of his breakout success Midnight in Paris two years ago.
