New IRON MAN 3 Poster Shows Ben Kingsley as The Mandarin
After character posters for Don Cheadle/War Machine/Iron Patriot and Guy Pearce/Aldrich Killian, another one has been released for Iron Man 3 – this time, Marvel is showing off the film’s villain, the Mandarin (Ben Kingsley), on the film’s Facebook page. Check it out after the jump.
In the comics, The Mandarin is Iron Man’s arch-nemesis, and while Kingsley’s voice over was suitably menacing in the teaser trailer, I can’t help but chuckle a bit when I see this poster. I can totally imagine Ben Kingsley as menacing, but his pose here – it’s just a bit too silly. On the brighter side, at least there aren’t sparks and embers coming out of the blue (like on the poster with Don Cheadle) – no pun intended.

Marvel’s “Iron Man 3″ pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. The film is directed by Shane Black and also stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, James Badge Dale, Jon Favreau and Rebecca Hall. Iron Man 3 opens in 3D on May 3rd, 2013.
