When I say: “Hey, dirtbags!” – that means you! You people are going to hate my guts for the rest of your lives, because I'm here to report that
Police Academy remake is, unfortunately, moving forward.
I say
unfortunately because I know, I just know that they will ruin the whole thing.
But no, New Line Cinema now has a screenwriter
Jeremy Garelick on board to rewrite the Police Academy remake and that sucks!
We don't need this shit. Really guys, I'm serious. I actually loved the original Police Academy. Ok,
not all parts of it, but still –
it was a good shit at the time.
And although we still know nothing about the possible
remake-plot, there's almost no doubt that they will ruin
the original fun.
I mean – what can Garelick or any other screenwriter possibly do with the story to make it look better?
He will give us a
new look at
new police academy trainees or what? Sure, that sounds “awesome”… Just find me a
new Zed, and I'm in!
Anyway, I'm a little bit frustrated with this news right now, so I will just add that
Scott Zabielski is already on board to direct the remake, while Paul Maslansky, who produced the original series, will oversee the film.
And, for the end of this report, here's my advice for the team behind this reboot:
You have the right to remain silent.
The right to a court-appointed attorney.
You have the right to sing the blues.
You have the right to cable TV.
You have the right to sublet.
You have the right to paint the walls.
No loud colors!
