Which is no surprise, because this project is based on Tatum's real life experiences as a 19-year-old stripper and tells “a story of friendship set in the world of male strippers”.
Guess that's why we're dealing with a project described as a dramatic comedy set in the world of male strippers.
The film follows Mike (Tatum) as he takes a young dancer called The Kid under his wing and schools him in the fine arts of partying, picking up women and making easy money.
Magic Mike also stars Alex Pettyfer, Matt Bomer, Joe Mangianello, Olivia Munn, Riley Keough, Cody Horn and Adam Rodriguez.
The movie is set to open on June 29th, 2012.
