We finally have the first official poster and a new release date for the upcoming Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters movie (you already see that – in theaters August 7). Based on the publishing phenomenon, Thor Freudenthal‘s new movie has an awesome cast on board, and that first trailer looks pretty cool, right?
Thor Freudenthal directed the whole thing from a script written by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski, and as you already know – the movie continues the young demigod's epic journey to fulfill his destiny.
To save their world, Percy and his friends must find the fabled and magical Golden Fleece. Embarking on a treacherous odyssey into the uncharted waters of the Sea of Monsters (known to humans as the Bermuda Triangle), they battle terrifying creatures, an army of zombies, and the ultimate Evil.
Starring Logan Lerman, Nathan Fillion, Sean Bean, Brandon T. Jackson, Stanley Tucci, Jake Abel and Alexandra Daddario, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters is set to open on August 7th, 2013.
