Peter Dinklage Joins X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST
Game of Thrones badass Peter Dinklage is the latest name to join the ever-growing ensemble cast of Bryan Singer‘s X-Men: Days of Future Past.
Director Singer is pretty active on Twitter revealing plenty about Days of Future Past and now he has also tweeted (below) this exciting piece of casting.
The Death at a Funeral star will join the ensemble alongside Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Ian McKellan, Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman and more.
The responses to Singer's tweet tell us that Dinklage will likely play Puck, a mutant from the Canadian super hero group Alpha Flight of which Wolverine was a part of prior to his days at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. A dwarf with a cauliflower ear is a hand-to-hand combatant and acrobat best known for his cartwheeling.
An upcoming American superhero film featuring the X-Men characters from a script by Simon Kinberg and is said to be inspired Chris Claremont and John Byrne's comic book storyline that ran in ‘Uncanny X-Men' #141 and 142 back in 1981.
Besides, Days of Future Past introduced the idea of an alternate future for Marvel's mutants that grew out of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants killing an important senator, leading to a future where all mutants are hunted by the mutant-killing Sentinel robots.
X-Men: Days of Future Past is eyeing an April start date and opens July 18th, 2014.
