Don’t know about you, but I’m definitely interested in Denis Villeneuve‘s upcoming Prisoners! Looks pretty intense, it has fantastic cast on board, and as you’re about to see – the latest trailer for the whole thing tries to answer: when do you cross the line between seeking justice and becoming a vigilante?
As we previously reported, Villeneuve directed this crime thriller from a script written by Aaron Guzikowski, which revolves around a small town carpenter who kidnaps the person he suspects is behind the disappearance of his young daughter and her best friend.
In other words, Hugh Jackman stars as that carpenter named Keller Dover, who is facing every parent’s worst nightmare: his 6-year-old daughter and her young friend are missing, and as minutes turn to hours, panic sets in.
The only lead is a dilapidated RV that had been parked on their street. Heading the investigation, Detective Loki arrests its driver, but a lack of evidence forces the only suspect’s release. Knowing his child’s life is at stake, the frantic Dover decides he has no choice but to take matters into his own hands. The desperate father will do whatever it takes to find the girls, but in doing so, may lose himself…
The rest of Prisoners cast includes Jake Gyllenhaal as Detective Loki, Maria Bello, Terrance Howard, Viola Davis, Melissa Leo and Paul Dano, and the movie is set to hit theaters on September 20th, 2013.
