I really don’t care about Harmony Korine and his wife Rachel and you should know that I’m writing this report just because I think Korine’s upcoming Spring Breakers actually still has some great cast on board.
And, although his above mentioned wife has joined previously announced James Franco, Emma Roberts, Vanessa Hudgens and Selena Gomez, I’m still interested in the whole thing.
Harmony Korine is directing this project from his own script and the movie will follow four college girls (Hudgens, Gomez, Roberts and Korine) who rob a fast food restaurant to afford spring break in Florida.
Upon arrival, they get arrested and meet up with a shady criminal (Franco) who bails them out of jail and entices them to kill his rival Arch.
Production on this movie will take place during spring break in Florida and MJZ president David Zander will produce it along with Chris Hanley of Muse Prods as well as Charles-Marie Anthonioz and Jordan Gertner.
Variety also adds that CAA packaged the project and will also rep its domestic distribution rights.
So, yes, it looks huge, so we’ll keep an eye on it. Stay tuned!
