The Hunger Games project. You know that movie where you can actually see what
Jennifer Lawrence will look like as brunette? Yes, that one. She looks fantastic, smart, and very brave. Just like the real Katniss Everdeen from
Suzanne Collins' novel.
First of all, this trailer is awesome, so you better watch out
Twilight Saga, it looks that guys from Lionsgate have their great franchise as well! When I first read the official synopsis I wasn't so sure if I was going to like Ross' adaptation, but after seeing this trailer – the answer is
definitely yes! Not to mention that we're talking about some seriously good cast here. Beside great Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth are looking good as usual, and what the hell I will say it – even Lenny Kravitz looks interesting!
Every year in the ruins of what was once North America, the nation of Panem forces each of its twelve districts to send a teenage boy and girl to compete in the Hunger Games. Part twisted entertainment, part government intimidation tactic, the Hunger Games are a nationally televised event in which “Tributes” must fight with one another until one survivor remains.
Pitted against highly-trained Tributes who have prepared for these Games their entire lives, Katniss is forced to rely upon her sharp instincts as well as the mentorship of drunken former victor Haymitch Abernathy. If she's ever to return home to District 12, Katniss must make impossible choices in the arena that weigh survival against humanity and life against love.
