RED 3 Moves Forward At Summit

RED 2

Hi guys! The RED 3 update time! Summit Entertainment has hired screenwriting siblings Jon Hoeber & Erich Hoeber -whose credits include Red and Red 2, along with the 2009 thriller Whiteout and last year's Hasbro board game adaptation-turned-alien actioner Battleship – to write the threequel.

The studio has, meanwhile, moved ahead the releases of RED 2, originally scheduled for release on August 2nd will now hit theaters July 19th, 2013.

Sequel RED 2 arrives from director Dean Parisot and stars Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker, Anthony Hopkins, Helen Mirren, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Byung Hun Lee, Brian Cox and Neal McDonough.

Production on RED 3 could start as early as January 2014 and no deals with the cast have been made as of yet.

Lorenzo Di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian will be back to produce the film as well.

I imagine it will involve the same core cast since the RED films are based on the comic book mini-series by Warren Ellis and Cully Hamner and centers on a trio of ‘Retired, Extremely Dangerous' ex black-ops agents, portrayed by Willis, Mirren and Malkovich.

God no, please – two is more than the world can take!
