The Long Kiss Goodnight will have a sequel. I can't believe it. I loved that one! And I thought this is some bad joke (Von Trier's or something like that), but then an interview came out, and now I'm here to report that a sequel to the 1996 thriller is actually coming after all!
So, what are you waiting for? Check out the rest of this report for more details!
Director of the original movie, Renny Harlin had a little chat with guys from DenOfGeek, where he revealed:
“I am developing a sequel for that. I'm right now looking for a writer who would have the same incredible sensibilities in terms of character, humour and action.”
I guess you're all curious to find out if Samuel L. Jackson will return for the sequel, so here's the answer – yes, he definitely is!
For those of you who don't recall, the original movie starred Geena Davis as Samantha Caine and Samuel L. Jackson as Mitch Henessey.
Here's what Harlin had to say about L. Jackson's involvement and the possible story as well:
“Sam is hundred percent committed, he's hundred percent on board. My plan is to focus on a story about Geena's daughter, who was six years old in the original and would now be about twenty-one. It's actually gonna be sort of a buddy story between Geena's daughter and Sam.”
So, are you interested in this sequel? Who should star as that twenty-one year old Geena's daughter? Let us know what you think, and stay tuned!
