Another clip from the upcoming Broken City is here, and as you’re going to see – the worst thing in the world that can happen to you is definitely that well-known combination of the wrong place and the wrong time. As you already know, this crime-drama is set to open next month, and stars Mark Wahlberg and Russell Crowe in the leading roles. As we previously reported, Allen Hughes directed the movie from Brian Tucker‘s script which centers on an ex-cop named Billy trailing the wife of New York City’s mayor who finds himself immersed in a larger scandal.

In case you’ve missed the official synopsis, here we go again:
Billy Taggart has a promising career as a New York City cop until the night he is involved in a controversial shooting. Stripped of his badge, but kept out of jail by New York’s popular Mayor, he re-makes himself as a private investigator. Times are tough, and when the mayor offers Billy $50,000 to investigate the First Lady’s extra-marital activities, it seems like a straight forward payday. Unfortunately, it quickly becomes apparent that the Mayor is not at all what he seems, and for Billy to achieve redemption he will have to risk everything – possibly even his freedom.
Starring Mark Wahlberg as Billy, Russell Crowe as the Mayor, Catherine Zeta-Jones as the First lady, Barry Pepper and Kyle Chandler, Broken City is set to open on January 18th, 2013.
