I am a great admirer of Stellan Skarsgard acting and, despite being a little bit late, I decided to say something about his back for a Marvel sequel.
Well it definitely looks like Skarsgard will be returning as Dr. Erik Selvig for Thor 2 as he confirmed this in an interview with Hey U Guys.
When asked what he had coming up, he offered this:
I will try to combine Thor 2 which starts in August and goes to the end of December with the new Lars Von Trier film.
As you may already know, Swedish actor returns to Scandinavia in his latest picture King of Devil’s Island.
Thor 2 will also see the return of Idris Elba as Heimdall and Jaimie Alexander as Sif, among other key cast members (Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston), while Zachary Levi may replace Josh Dallas as Fandral, one of Thor’s trusted Warriors Three.
Alan Taylor will take over directing duties, while Don Payne and Robert Rodatwill write the script.
Thor 2 comes to theaters November 8th, 2013.
Yes, I almost forgot Casino Royale villain Mads Mikkelsen will play the bad guy this time around.
