Plot-wise, The Acolyte is currently set one hundred years prior to the events in Episode I: The Phantom Menace, and fight scenes are described to potentially feature lightsaber battles, melee combat, and stylized martial arts fighting. This can be seen from behind the scenes of the Jedi Master Sol played by Lee Jung-jae going head to head with the mysterious character Mae by Amandla Stenberg.
