The Avengers 2 Release Date

With news about Joss Whedon's return to write and direct Marvel's The Avengers 2, still hot off the press Marvel and Disney have announced the official release date for the upcoming sequel. The release date for the still untitled sequel has been set for May 1st, 2015. It's going to be a great time to be a Marvel fan again since The Avengers 2 will be the culmination of Marvel's ‘Phase Two' films that begins with Iron Man 3 on May 3rd, 2013; Thor: The Dark World on November 8th, 3013; Captain America: The Winter Solider on April 4th, 2014 and Guardians of The Galaxy on August 1st, 2014. Edgar Wright‘s Ant-Man, which still have no official start date is also speculated to be released in early 2014. The 2015 release date doesn't come as too much of a surprise as Whedon signed a three-year exclusive deal with the studio. Here's the official press release:
