Walt Disney Pictures has released the first featurette and four TV spots for its upcoming family fantasy film, The Odd Life of Timothy Green.
The film is based on an original story by no-name actor Ahmet Zappa – who’s helping to develop the Tiki and Museum of the Weird movies for the Mouse House – with Oscar-nominated filmmaker Peter Hedges (Pieces of April, Dan in Real Life) handling screenwriting and directing duties.
Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton star in the film, along with C.J. Adams as Timothy Green, a kid that comes from a box buried in their backyard after their inability to have a child on their own leaves with only the dreams of what their offspring might be like.
Common, Dianne Wiest, Karan Kendrick, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Lois Smith, M. Emmet Walsh, Michael Arden, Michael Beasley, Odeya Rush, Rhoda Griffis, Ron Livingston, and Rosemarie DeWitt are also featured in the movie.
The Odd Life of Timothy Green is set to open August 15th, 2012.
