The Raid’s Joe Taslim Joins FAST AND FURIOUS 6
Indonesian thesp Joe Taslim has been tapped by director Justin Lin to join the cast of the 6th feature film installment of The Fast and the Furious series.
Taslim who happens to be an accomplished Judo master, previously starred in a martial arts heavy film The Raid: Redemption. He is now set to play the villainous role of Jah in Fast & Furious 6, a cold-blooded killer who uses his martial arts and parkour skills to fight the pic's protags, led by Paul Walker and Vin Diesel.
Dwayne Johnson, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson and Michelle Rodriguez are also confirmed to be returning; new additions set to include rising talent in ex-MMA star Gina Carano and Immortals' Luke Evans.
Besides Taslim we can now add model Clara Paget to that list in ‘a sort of ‘sidekick' role, playing a ‘gun-slinging action woman'' known as Vegh.
Chris Morgan, who wrote the last three Fast and Furious movies, is handling script duties and the trade suggests the general story outline revolves around a European heist and a race against a rival team of criminals.
Universal Pictures has already set the film is scheduled for a May 24th, 2013 release date.
