Variance Films has debuted a new trailer and poster for Michael Knowles‘ upcoming indy film The Trouble with Bliss, starring Michael C. Hall, Chris Messina, Brie Larson, Brad William Henke, Sarah Shahi, Peter Fonda, Lucy Liu.
Morris Bliss (Hall) is a 35-year-old man-child who still lives at home but when he finds himself falling into a romantic relationship with the precocious 18-year-old daughter of a friend, he discovers that his life is changing in ways that are unexpected and long overdue.
Here’s the official synopsis for the film:
Comedy/drama about 35-year-old Morris Bliss, who is clamped in the jaws of New York City inertia: he wants to travel but has no money; he needs a job but has no prospects; he still shares an apartment with his widowed father; and perhaps worst of all the premature death of his mother still lingers and has left him emotionally walled up. When he finds himself wrapped up in an awkward relationship with the sexually precocious, 18-year-old daughter of a former classmate, Morris quickly discovers his static life unraveling and opening up in ways that are long overdue.
The Trouble with Bliss hits VOD and theaters in New York City on March 23rd, 2012. The film opens in Los Angeles on March 30th.
