Tulsa King

When Sylvester Stallone steps into a role, you know you're in for a wild ride. Tulsa King, the hit Paramount+ crime drama, has been a standout since its debut, blending Stallone's signature grit with Taylor Sheridan's knack for storytelling. Now, with Season 3 on the horizon, the show is doubling down on its star power, adding Terminator 2 legend Robert Patrick and rising star Beau Knapp to its already stacked cast. But will these new additions elevate the series to new heights, or is it just more of the same? Let's dive in.

Robert Patrick, best known for his iconic role as the relentless T-1000 in Terminator 2: Judgment Day, is joining the Tulsa King family as Jeremiah Dunmire, a liquor magnate with a commanding presence. Patrick's ability to portray intense, morally complex characters makes him a perfect fit for Sheridan's gritty universe. Meanwhile, Beau Knapp (SEAL Team, Road House) will play Cole Dunmire, Jeremiah's trust fund son with a dangerous edge. Knapp's knack for playing unpredictable, volatile characters adds a layer of intrigue to the show's dynamic.

The rest of the ensemble cast remains intact, with Andrea Savage, Max Casella, and Martin Starr returning to support Stallone's Dwight Manfredi as he navigates the treacherous waters of Tulsa's underworld. The addition of Patrick and Knapp promises to shake things up, introducing new conflicts and alliances that could redefine the series.

Taylor Sheridan, the mastermind behind Yellowstone and Mayor of Kingstown, continues to steer the ship as creator and executive producer. However, Season 3 brings a new showrunner: Dave Erickson, known for his work on Mayor of Kingstown. Erickson's experience with crime dramas and character-driven narratives suggests that Tulsa King will maintain its sharp storytelling while exploring fresh territory.

For those new to the series, Tulsa King follows Dwight “The General” Manfredi (Stallone), a New York mafia capo exiled to Tulsa, Oklahoma, after a 25-year prison stint. Stripped of his power and betrayed by his own family, Dwight sets out to build a new criminal empire from scratch. The show's blend of dark humor, intense drama, and Stallone's magnetic performance has made it a fan favorite.

With production underway, fans can expect more of the high-stakes drama and character-driven storytelling that defined the first two seasons. The introduction of the Dunmire family adds a new layer of complexity, as Dwight's ambitions clash with their deep-rooted influence in Tulsa. Will Dwight outmaneuver his new rivals, or will he find himself in over his head?

Tulsa King Season 3 is shaping up to be its most ambitious installment yet. The addition of Robert Patrick and Beau Knapp injects fresh energy into the series, while Taylor Sheridan and Dave Erickson's creative vision ensures that the show remains as compelling as ever. Stallone's portrayal of Dwight Manfredi continues to be the heart of the series, blending vulnerability with ruthless determination.

But here's the real question: Can Tulsa King maintain its momentum, or will it fall victim to the pitfalls of overexpansion? With its stellar cast and gripping narrative, the show has all the ingredients for success. Yet, as any fan of crime dramas knows, the line between triumph and tragedy is razor-thin.

What do you think? Will Season 3 be Tulsa King's crowning achievement, or is the show at risk of losing its edge? Let us know in the comments!
