Check out two new TV spots and 12 high resolution photos from John Carter. The action-epic, based on the Barsoom series by Edgar Rice Burroughs, follows a former Confederate captain (Taylor Kitsch) who is mysteriously transported to Mars, and must resolve a conflict between warring nations.
The film is the first live-action project for director Andrew Stanton, who helmed Pixar's Wall-E and Finding Nemo. Joining Kitsch in the cast ensemble are Lynn Collins, Willem Dafoe, Samantha Morton, Dominic West, James Purefoy and Mark Strong.
John Carter is set to hit theaters on March 9th, 2012.
