Vera Farmiga as a CIA Operative in Daniel Espinosa’s Thriller Safe House

Nick Martin April 25, 2011 1 comment

Vera Farmiga, Safe House

Seems the Safe House is going to be a great movie moreover acted in Cape Town. Now Vera Farmiga has reportedly joined the film cast.

The thriller stars Ryan Reynolds as a CIA Agent who must safely transport a dangerous criminal, portrayed by famous actor Denzel Washington, to a safe house. Farmiga will play a CIA operative who supervises Reynolds.

Snabba Cash director Daniel Espinosa will make his Hollywood debut with this exciting prospect.

The script was written by David Guggenheim and was rewritten by Terry George. The movie also stars Nora Arnezeder, Brendan Gleeson, Ruben Blades,  Liam Cunningham, Tim McGraw, Robert Patrick, and Sam Shepard.

Safe House is set for release on February 10, 2012.

As for Farmiga she last stared in the 2011 sci-fi mystery thriller movie Source Code, which received widely favorable reviews. Her film credits include Orphan and Nothing but the Truth among others.

Farmiga lately signed on to co-star with Michael C. Hall in Love, Scotch and Death. Her directorial debut film, Higher Ground, played at Sundance and will hit theaters this summer.

Refresh your memory by checking out some photos with sexy Ryan Reynolds behind a camera on the South African set. Ryan's been throwing himself into work since his split from Scarlett Johansson, and soon we'll see him in his two new films, The Green Lantern and The Change-Up, both slated for a summer release too.
