Vin Diesel is definitely a busy guy. Almost a machine. No, wait, that's the title of the upcoming MGM action comedy – The Machine!
Now, it looks that Diesel will produce the whole thing, and of course – star in it as well.
Not much is known about this project at the moment, but we do know that Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant are responsible for the script, and as usual, we have some details about Diesel's role, so make sure to check out the rest of this report.
According to Deadline, Vin Diesel's character is “a human-like machine created in secrecy by the Pentagon to be the world's first ultimate weapon.
Some 20 years after the machine was decommissioned and buried, The Machine is discovered, reactivated and befriended by a kid.
When the government learns that The Machine is back in operation, the ultimate weapon's mission becomes to protect the family that is harboring him.”
So, where's the comedy part? Have no idea, but I'm sure they'll come up with something and make Diesel look handsome, and funny, and fast and furious, and…whatever.
On the other hand, there's still no director attached to The Machine but it definitely looks like a new franchise is coming.
