Watch: KILLING THEM SOFTLY First Trailer
So, at long last, here's the first trailer for the Brad Pitt‘s latest collaboration with Andrew Dominik (The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford) — underworld thriller Killing Them Softly.
If you weren't lucky enough to steal away to the south of France last month, the two-and-a-half-minute sneak peek gives us a glorious insight into the story about a hit man hired to take out a couple of no good hoods who decide to rob a high stakes poker game, and turns it into a searing portrait of a wounded nation.
Based on George V. Higgins' 1974 Boston mobster novel ‘Cogan's Trade' Killing Them Softly has been updated to modern times pairing the violence with quiet moments of dialogue that keeps the story moving and the entertainment levels up.
Killing Them Softly, both written and directed by Dominik, hits theaters on November 30th, 2012 also starring James Gandolfini, Sam Rockwell, Richard Jenkins, Bella Heathcote, Vincent Curatola, Ray Liotta, Scoot McNairy, Ben Mendelsohn and Linara Washington.
Check out Pitt's Cogan who lays it out for us: ‘You ever kill anyone? They cry, they plead for their mothers. I like to kill 'em softly,' he continues, ‘from a distance.'
