Following
two new posters, here's the newest trailer for Fox‘s
The Wolverine starring
Hugh Jackman that will begin showing this weekend in theaters attached to
Fast & Furious 6.
Sadly, there isn't that much that's new about this trailer (I'm sorry, Silver Samurai looks pretty damn big!). So far, a lot of people's feelings on the trailers have been mixed.
There is going to be a ton of competition around and it's going to be hard for
The Wolverine to compete with big summer movies such as
Fast & Furious 6,
Man of Steel, Pacific Rim and
Elysium among the others.
The Wolverine comes after 2009s
X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and it doesn't arrive until the end of July, so Fox have plenty of time to correct that. After all, the film must deal with the fallout of Jean Grey's death by his own claws.
James Mangold is directing
The Wolverine from a script by
Christopher McQuarrie and
Mark Bomback, based on the celebrated comic book arc by Chris Claremont &
Frank Miller, which takes our favorite Marvel mutant all the way to modern day Japan.
The pic opens wide July 26th, 2013.
