Elijah Wood and Nora Arnezeder together in a totally sick and creepy film which comes from director Franck Khalfoun and is, by the way, written by Alexandre Aja? Sign me in, please!
We previously shared an international red band trailer (not much of a quality, though) and some cool images from the movie, and as you’ll see, this new video looks pretty much the same. But what the hell – you can consider this report as a little reminder that Khalfoun’s movie opens soon, and that you should not miss it!

Maniac is actually the remake of of the 1980 film (directed by William Lustig) of the same name and beside Wood & Arnezeder, the movie also stars Liane Balaban, America Olivo, Jan Broberg, Morgane Slemp, Sal Landi, Genevieve Alexandra and Sammi Rotibi.
The movie centers on Wood’s character, a mentally disturbed man named Frank Zito who lives with his mother. But when she dies, this lonely man starts a killing spree, murdering innocent young women by scalping them.
When he meets and befriends Anna, an artist opening an art exhibit played by Arnezeder, he struggles to find what he really wants from her:a new trophy or love.
Maniac is set to open on December 26th, 2012!
