Tom Hanks Defends Angels & Demons And New TV Spot
Based on Dan Brown’s novel “Angels and Demons,” published in 2000, the upcoming Ron Howard’s movie follows Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon to analyze a mysterious symbol seared into the chest of a murdered physicist.
The same story again – the movie was reported to have angered the Vatican because of its content, and was banned from using certain church properties for filming
“People will see there’s nothing sacrilegious about it at all. Yes, we had a few things go on that are completely fictionalised. But there’s no reason to have a big hurly-burly over what is essentially a whodunit. There’s no major theological discussion that goes on, other than science versus faith. There’s no winner in that argument. I just solve the murder,” said Tom Hanks.
Last month, the movie’s director Ron Howard was also forced to defend the follow-up to 2006’s “The Da Vinci Code,” describing the movie as an “exciting mystery, set in the awe-inspiring beauty of Rome”.
Langdon (Tom Hanks) tries to solve a murder and unravel a plot by an ancient group, the Illuminati, to blow up the Vatican during a papal conclave.

The Vatican is considering calling for an official boycott of “Angels & Demons,” the upcoming follow-up to The Da Vinci Code which the Church also boycotted.
The Vatican’s official newspaper mentioned the other day that the Church cannot approve of such a “problematic film.”

Two new photos from upcoming “Da Vince Code” sequel, called “Angels & Demons” has popped online. ABC also revealed a new behind-the-scenes video for the film. The video contains lots of footage from the film and a explanation of the Illuminati.

Angels & Demons Viral: Secret Message in Teaser Trailer
Two days ago, Sony released the teaser trailer for “Angels & Demons,” the followup to Dan Brown’s highly successful book/movie The Da Vinci Code.
Hidden in the trailer is an ambigram (reads the same thing upside down as upside right) of Illuminati that also figures heavily in the plot of the book/movie. Digging a little deeper, there’s actually a hidden message in the letters of the ambigram. With a few steps in Photoshop, the words “Altars of Science” is clearly visible.
It just happens that Sony owns a site with a domain name www.altarsofscience.com, which contains a video feed of a room with the word “Illuminati” written on the wall and a device that looks like a bomb. There is also a countdown set to run out on May 15th, 2009, which is the theatrical release date of “Angels & Demons.” Continue Reading…
