Seven New “Angels and Demons” Photos
Today we have the seven new photos from upcoming highly anticipated “Angels and Demons,” which is based on a bestselling novel by Dan Brown.
When Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) discovers evidence of the resurgence of an ancient secret brotherhood known as the Illuminati - the most powerful underground organization in history - he also faces a deadly threat to the existence of the secret organization’s most despised enemy: the Catholic Church. Angels & Demons Viral: Secret Message in Teaser Trailer
Two days ago, Sony released the teaser trailer for “Angels & Demons,” the followup to Dan Brown’s highly successful book/movie The Da Vinci Code.
Hidden in the trailer is an ambigram (reads the same thing upside down as upside right) of Illuminati that also figures heavily in the plot of the book/movie. Digging a little deeper, there’s actually a hidden message in the letters of the ambigram. With a few steps in Photoshop, the words “Altars of Science” is clearly visible.
It just happens that Sony owns a site with a domain name www.altarsofscience.com, which contains a video feed of a room with the word “Illuminati” written on the wall and a device that looks like a bomb. There is also a countdown set to run out on May 15th, 2009, which is the theatrical release date of “Angels & Demons.” Read the rest of this entry

Tom Hanks will reprise his role ( Da Vinci Code) as the Harvard religious expert Robert Langdon. Ron Howard again directs the film, which is produced by Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, and John Calley. The screenplay is by David Koepp and Akiva Goldsman.

“Angels and Demons” First Photos
These are the first pictures from the upcoming Ron Howard’s “Angels and Demons” - the adaptation of Dan Brown’s novel.
“Da Vinci Code” follow-up, “Angels and Demons” film stars Tom Hanks, Ayelet Zurer, and Ewan McGregor.
The movie continues the sleuthing adventures of Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks), a Harvard expert in religious symbols who discovers a conspiracy to destroy the Vatican.
USA Today also have published an interview with “Angels and Demons” producer Brian Grazer.
“Angels and Demons” opens in theaters May 15th, 2009.

A new teaser poster for the upcoming Ron Howard’s “Angels & Demons” movie has appeared online with many wondering whether the poster is real. I thought it was cool enough to share.

Vatican Bans Dan Brown Film “Angels & Demons” From Rome Churches
“Angels & Demons“, the sequel to the enormously successful “The Da Vinci Code“, sees Tom Hanks reprise his role as Harvard professor Robert Langdon. This time, however, Mr Langdon is on a mission to save the Vatican from being blown up by a canister of anti-matter.
The entire film is set in Rome, and Sony Pictures applied for permission to film two key scenes inside the churches of Santa Maria del Popolo and Santa Maria della Vittoria.
The plot of the book sees Mr Langdon arriving in Santa Maria della Vittoria to find a cardinal being set on fire.
The Vatican has banned the makers of a prequel to “The Da Vinci Code” from filming in its grounds or any church in Rome, describing the work as “an offence against God”.
“Angels and Demons”, the latest Dan Brown thriller to be turned into a film, includes key episodes that take place in the Vatican and Rome’s churches. Archbishop Velasio De Paolis, the head of the Vatican’s Prefecture for Economic Affairs, said that Brown had “turned the gospels upside down to poison the faith”.
“It would be unacceptable to transform churches into film sets so that his blasphemous novels can be made into films in the name of business,” he said, adding that Brown’s work “wounds common religious feelings”.
Father Marco Fibbi, a spokesman for the Diocese of Rome, said: “Normally we read the script but this time it was not necessary. The name Dan Brown was enough.”
