Angelina Jolie is a CIA officer who, after being accused of being a Russian sleeper spy, sets out to prove her innocence while trying to elude capture by her superiors.
The film, directed by Phillip Noyce (Catch a Fire)from script by Kurt Wimmer and Brian Helgeland, co-stars Liev Schreiber (Defiance, X-Men Origins: Wolverine) as Winter, her ally and supervisor in the CIA’s Russia office, and Chiwetel Ejiofor (Children of Men, American Gangster) as Peabody, a counterintelligence officer who tries to take her down.
2012 Review
“2012” delivers everything you could possibly want from a blockbuster disaster movie, though you have to wonder how Roland Emmerich is going to top the end of the world.
It’s not so much that the Earth is destroyed, but that it’s done so thoroughly. “2012,” the mother of all disaster movies (and the father, and the extended family) spends half an hour on ominous set-up scenes (scientists warn, strange events occur, prophets rant and of course a family is introduced) and then unleashes two hours of cataclysmic special events hammering the Earth relentlessly.
This is fun. “2012″ delivers what it promises, and since no sentient being will buy a ticket expecting anything else, it will be, for its audiences, one of the most satisfactory films of the year. Using all her skills and years of experience as a covert operative, she must elude capture and protect her husband or the world’s most powerful forces will erase any trace of her existence.

Three “2012″ TV Spots
Sony have released three TV spots for upcoming “2012″ disaster movie.
Never before has a date in history been so significant to so many cultures, so many religions, scientists, and governments. In “2012,” a large group of people must deal with natural disasters such as volcanic eruptions, typhoons and glaciers. The idea stems from the fact that the Mayan calendar ends in 2012, which could mean the end of the world.
“2012″ is directed and co-written by German filmmaker Roland Emmerich (“Godzilla,” “The Patriot,” “The Day After Tomorrow,” “Stargate,” “Independence Day,” “10,000 B.C.”). Harald Kloser (”The Day After Tomorrow,” “10,000 B.C.” “The Thirteenth Floor,” “Alien vs Predator”) worked with Emmerich on the script.
The film stars John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Danny Glover, Thandie Newton, Oliver Platt, Thomas McCarthy, Woody Harrelson, Chin Han, Morgan Lily and Beatrice Rosen.

The second teaser poster for Roland Emmrich’s “2012” has been revealed.
Amanda Peet stars alongside John Cusack in the upcoming 2012. “2012″ revolves around a global cataclysm and the heroic struggle of the survivors. Peet is playing Cusack’s ex-wife, newly married to a wealthy man. Cusack plays a divorced father trying to become a writer while holding a job as a limo driver.
Chiwetel Ejiofor, Danny Glover, Thandie Newton, and Oliver Platt round out the cast of this end-of-the-world thriller co-scripted by the director and his 10,000 B.C. writer/composer, Harald Kloser.
“2012″ is scheduled to appear in theaters on November 13th, 2009.
