I hope you know Ray Stevenson, a guy who portrayed Frank Castle in The Punisher and recently appeared in the film adaptation of Marvel Comics’ Thor, in the role of Volstagg. Well, Stevenson was cast as villain Firefly for G.I. Joe 2: Cobra Strikes.

Hey guys, I know you’re ready for this great update, so let’s say it right here, at the beginning – the sixth installment in the Fast and the Furious franchise will hit theaters over Memorial Day weekend in 2013.
And you know what date it is, we’re talking about May 24th, 2013!
Great news, I know, so make sure to check out the rest of this fast and furious report to find out even more details about the whole thing.
We already wrote about Fast and Furious 6, but I know you’re not satisfied with the details we have.
Unfortunately, still no plot rumors, but we did learn that director Justin Lin will be back for this installment, as well as Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson.
Dwayne Johnson Toplining and Producing a Biopic of Country Star Charley Pride
Dwayne Johnson‘s starring in Universal’s Fast Five, which opens domestically today, but that’s not what I meant – Dwayne Johnson, believe it or not, has agreed to topline and produce a biopic of black country star Charley Pride.
Johnson‘s acting career has pretty well swing between two opposite poles: his fast and furious ways that you can take a look at this weekend in Fast Five and his friendly and mild-mannered personality that he’s portrayed in movies like The Tooth Fairy and The Game Plan.
In case you’re upset that Johnson took this role without any singing practice, breathe easy knowing that tough actor has performed in some capacity in previous roles and television appearances — like You Send Me on The Tonight Show and Are You Lonesome Tonight in The Game Plan.
Two Fast and Furious 5 Featurettes Hits
Universal Pictures has shared two featurettes for Fast and Furious 5: Fast Five.
The action film tells a story about Toretto and his team who are trapped in another situation where they are on the opposite side of the law. As they assemble their elite team of top racers, the unlikely allies know their only shot of getting out for good means confronting the corrupt businessman who wants them dead.
Dwayne Johnson to Star in Snitch
Now, here’s an action thriller you’re going to love – Snitch! I’m sure you already know that New Line is behind this project, and that Ric Roman Waugh is in charge for directing the whole thing.
But he’s also on board for rewriting the script originally written by Justin Haythe that will follow the life of “a suburban dad who goes undercover to convict a drug dealer in order to reduce his teenage son’s 30-year prison sentence.” I know you’re interested, especially now when we have Dwayne Johnson in negotiations to star in it, so continue reading for more details.
Johnson definitely looks like a perfect guy for this kind of project, and I’m sure you all agree with that. I mean, we’re talking about the true story of devoted father James Settembrino, as documented in the Frontline segment Snitch. 18-year-old Joey Settembrino was sentenced to ten years for which he was clearly unprepared (and who is?).
Dwayne Johnson in Talks to Star in Snitch Action Thriller
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is in negotiations for drug thriller Snitch rewritten and directed by Ric Roman Waugh.
New Line has been developing this project for years (since 2006) based on the script by Justin Haythe, which follows a suburban dad who goes undercover to convict a drug dealer aiming to reduce his teenage son’s 30-year prison sentence. In the real version (Frontline documentary) of the story, 18-year-old Joey Settembrino was sentenced to ten years for which he was clearly not ready. He told his father,
I’m here, get me out, I’ll never be able to do 10 years.”
