Anna Paquin and Ryan Phillippe to Star in the Indie Comedy STRAIGHT A’S
The second-youngest Oscar winner in history after Tatum O’Neal, Anna Paquin and Pulitzer-Prize winning photographer Greg Marinovich in The Bang-Bang Club, Ryan Phillipe have both signed on to star in the indie comedy Straight A’s.
Production on the comedy begins under the direction of James Cox (Wonderland), today in Shreveport, Louisiana. Dave Cole has written the script.

By Virtue Fall is an upcoming Sheldon Turner’s (Up In The Air scribe) directorial debut that we already had a little chat about. But, last year. Yeah, yeah, I know, a lot of things changed since then, and that’s exactly why we’re here today, to update the whole thing!
Apparently, James Spader, Ryan Phillippe and Carla Gugino are now officially on board for this one!
So, as you know, Eric Bana and Colin Farrell were both in talks for the movie, and at one moment, even Jeremy Renner was rumored as a possible replacement for Farrell.

Lionsgate just released a new clip and poster for The Lincoln Lawyer.
In the gripping thriller The Lincoln Lawyer, Matthew McConaughey stars as Michael “Mick” Haller, a slick, charismatic Los Angeles criminal defense attorney who operates out of the back of his Lincoln Continental sedan. Having spent most of his career defending petty, gutter-variety criminals, Mick unexpectedly lands the case of a lifetime: defending a rich Beverly Hills playboy (Ryan Phillippe) who is accused of attempted murder. However, what initially appears to be a straightforward case with a big money pay-off swiftly develops into a deadly match between two masters of manipulation and a crisis of conscience for Haller.

The third trailer of The Lincoln Lawyer, an upcoming drama headlining Matthew McConaughey, Ryan Phillippe and Marisa Tomei, has just been released.
In the movie, McConaughey stars as a a pretty confident lawyer who gets more than he bargained for when he decides to represent a Beverly Hills playboy (Ryan Phillippe) against charges of rape and attempted murder.
Randy Couture Joins Bruce Willis and Ryan Phillippe in Set Up
This is quite interesting casting news, indeed!
Randy Couture has signed on to co-star in Set Up, the upcoming action movie that already has Bruce Willis, Ryan Phillippe, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and Jenna Dewan Tatum all signed on.
Movie will be directed by Mike Gunther, and it will follow:
“…a group of small time criminals who are catapulted into the middle of a diamond heist that turns deadly.”

The Lincoln Lawyer Trailer
The first trailer for The Lincoln Lawyer, an upcoming drama film based on Michael Connelly’s novel of the same name, has arrived.
Matthew McConaughey (How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days, Fool’s Gold, Tropic Thunder) and Marisa Tomei (In the Bedroom, Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead, The Wrestler) star. The supporting cast includes Ryan Phillippe, William H. Macy, John Leguizamo, Michael Pena, Trace Adkins, and Katherine Moennig.
Brad Furman (The Take) will direct from the adapted screenplay by John Romano (Night in Rodanthe, Intolerable Cruelty).

Here’s the new poster for upcoming action/comedy movie, MacGruber.
In the 10 years since his fiancee was killed, special op MacGruber (Will Forte) has sworn off a life of fighting crime with his bare hands. But when he learns that his country needs him to find a nuclear warhead that’s been stolen by his sworn enemy, Dieter Von Cunth (Val Kilmer), MacGruber figures he’s the only one tough enough for the job.
The movie is directed by Jorma Taccone. The screenplay was co-written by Will Forte, Taccone and John Solomon. Also stars Ryan Phillippe and Kristen Wiig.
