Star Trek TV Spot #1
Paramount Pictures released first TV spot for the upcoming J.J. Abrams‘ “Star Trek” film.
It is being reporting that the upcoming film will be shown not only in conventional theaters, but also IMAX. The movie was not shot with IMAX cameras, but will instead be converted to 70mm for the extra large screens.
To me, it’s shocking that there are actually people out there who still haven’t been won over by the IMAX format. Presumably these are people who live in an area where there simply isn’t a theater, or who have stubbornly refused to visit one. This isn’t exactly a new innovation. You and I know better. Be in the IMAX seat next to me for Star Trek on May 8th of next year.
Star Trek stars John Cho, Ben Cross, Bruce Greenwood, Simon Pegg, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Winona Ryder, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin, Eric Bana and Leonard Nimoy. Read the rest of this entry

More “Star Trek” Images Revealed
The upcoming issue of Empire magazine features a brand new Kirk and Spock cover with Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto and some more images of the new crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise.
In addition to the photos, Empire also talks to director J.J. Abrams, who comes clean about one of his major obstacles on the film, the nature of which might surprise you:
“For me, the costumes were a microcosm of the entire project, which was how to take something that’s kind of silly and make it feel real…How do you make legitimate the pointy ears and the bowl haircut? It’s ridiculous and as potentially cliched as it gets. How do you watch Galaxy Quest and then go make a Star Trek movie?”
The film is directed by J.J. Abrams (Lost, Mission: Impossible III) and is written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (The Island, Mission: Impossible III, Transformers, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen), also stars Eric Bana, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, John Cho, Winona Ryder, Bruce Greenwood, Rachel Nichols, Jennifer Morrison, Clifton Collins Jr. and Tyler Perry, Read the rest of this entry

‘The Private Lives of Pippa Lee’ - On Set
Take a look at these first set pictures for the upcoming ‘The Private Lives of Pippa Lee‘ from director and writer Rebecca Miller and really great cast:
Madeline McNulty - Young Pippa Lee
Blake Lively - Teenage Pippa Lee
Robin Wright Penn - Pippa Lee
Monica Bellucci
Julianne Moore
Winona Ryder
Keanu Reeves, Maria Bello, Alan Arkin, Tim Guinee
At fifty, Pippa Lee positively glows with female serenity, the devoted wife of a brilliant publisher thirty years her senior, proud mother of successful twins and a lovely and adored friend and neighbor.
But, when her husband spontaneously decides that they should leave New York for a retirement home as a “pre-emptive strike against decrepitude,” and has an affair with someone even younger than she is, Pippa finds her beatific persona unraveling in alarming ways.
The truth is, the gracious woman of the present day has seen more than her fair share of the wild side. She has finally found love and security in a family of her own. And now, that cozy world, too, is in danger.
